Portrait of Northwest children's author and illustrator, Doris Burn.

Western Libraries Archives & Special Collections expresses gratitude to Skye Burn and the Burn family for their support of this exhibit and the Libraries’ archival collections. The Doris Burn Artwork and Manuscripts were donated to Western Washington University by the Burn family and Doris Burn Legacy LLC in 2015. Additional collections of historical papers from Doris Burn, June and Farrar Burn, and South Burn are also archived at Western as gifts of the Burn family. Except where noted, materials in this exhibit are reproductions of original photographs, artwork, published and unpublished manuscripts housed at the Center for Pacific Northwest Studies (from the Doris Burn Artwork and Manuscripts and the Doris Burn Family Papers).

Special thanks to Jaime Ganzel (graduate student intern and co-curator), as well as Sylvia Tag (Curator of the Children’s Literature Interdisciplinary Collection) and Skye Burn for their many contributions to this exhibit: the physical exhibit will be hosted in Western Libraries Special Collections (Wilson Library, 6th Floor) from October 3, 2016 through the end of the year. Maricar Jane Cacawa assisted with the creation of this digital exhibit.
